Chris: I originally from New Zealand, moved to the UK in 1988 and after a brief stay in Leeds, moved to London in 1989. Iniitally working in thee IT sector as a freelance consulltant, I moved intto a permanent role intially in the finance sector and then moved over to a Systems Manager role in the NHS and stayed there until the early 2000's. From there, I moved into public transport and when I left in 2013. I wasa Deputy Operating Manager (Accident Investigation). Joining St John Ambulance as a work place trainer, ny ambition was to move into Ambulance Operations and gain promotion into a management role which I achieved 2 years ago and am now an Ambulance Locality Manager (in old terms, Station Manager) at a large ambulance hub in North West London.
Asie from working for SJA, I am also a volunteer maner, currently I am Unit Manager of a thriving volunteer unit in SE London.
I have just started the 'Couch to 5k' with the aim being completing a Royal Parks 10k in 2021.In addition to this, I am in the process of applying to undertake a distance learning MSc in EMergency Planning and Disaster Management,a 2 year online study program. My interests include cooking, travel,. photography, reading, volunteering, wine and relaxation.
